Battleground States 2008: dish it out with dice

Battleground States 2008
(there are other ways to access this game)

Tired of all the political drama of the real world? Then don’t you just think that it’s high time to poke a little fun at all of this mess? There’s this game called Battleground States 2008 that is sort of like the popular board game ‘Risk’, but with a more political (and to a certain extent geographical) twist to it.

The game doesn’t last very long at just about 15-30 minutes depending on the strategies that you might opt to pursue. But it’s perfect if you just want to kill some time and tickle your brain a little while at it.

You can choose your own political party from a selection of eight factions: the establishment Democrats and Republicans, the struggling but still there Libertarians and Greens, and others like the Communists, Black Panthers, Native Americans, and even the Aliens. You can choose to limit the number of warring parties, but the more the merrier, right?

P.S.

Since this game is meant for 2008 election cycle (as prominently labelled in the game name), Barack Obama and John McCain are the ones who represent the Democrats and Republicans respectively.

P.P.S.

It would be nice if they update their game even just a little.
